Survey Drop Due To Unholy Alliance?

Misplaced pride is clearly Senator Noynoy Aquino’s sin. A few glaring things bear this out. First of all, just like former President Joseph Estrada, he can’t admit to himself that he doesn’t have what it takes to lead a Third World country in dire need of progress. An underachiever in Congress, Aquino hardly qualifies as the person fit to lead millions of people to a better life.

But that is not the most damning evidence of Noynoy’s misplaced pride. With the latest surveys showing a reduction in his popularity rating, the senator now finds himself facing the reality that people’s perceptions can change. However, being the proud son-of-Ninoy-and-Cory that he is, the senator simply dismisses that even though it is a likely explanation for his ratings drop. Noynoy attributes it instead to his closest rival’s supposed advantages.

(excerpt from inquirer.net report) “I am not surprised with this turn of events,” said Aquino, reading a prepared statement at a press conference Wednesday. “First, our opponents have had a long head start in this campaign. And while I diligently perform my functions as a legislator, the others are practically campaigning fulltime, neglecting their mandate with those, who entrusted them with their votes,” he said. Aquino also criticized Villar’s “unprecedented and sustained ad spending in all forms of media and the unrelenting and increasingly below-the-belt and baseless black propaganda” against him.

In fairness to Noynoy, the moneyed Villar did start his campaign earlier. There’s also no denying that the former senate president is armed with a seemingly unlimited supply of advertising funds. However, it also cannot be denied that as an excuse this is as flimsy as it can get.

Villar did start campaigning earlier because, unlike Noynoy, Villar knew what he wanted and had the guts to take action. Of course, Noynoy and his supporters could say that he never craved power and was even reluctant to run for president. That’s just good old media spin. The truth is Aquino was never reluctant. Show me a reluctant opportunist and I’d believe that.

The problem with Noynoy is he now believes his own press releases. His overestimation of his qualities has blinded him to the reality that he is not impressive at all and people are beginning to take note of that. Attributing the fluctuations in his survey ratings to the imagined maneuvering of other candidates simply shows an apparent inability to consider his own shortcomings.

True to form, Noynoy even goes as far as dragging the Arroyo administration in his blame game.

(excerpt from gmanews.tv report) The Arroyo administration and the camp of Sen. Manuel Villar Jr. are forming an “unholy alliance” for the May 10 elections, Sen. Benigno Simeon “Noynoy” Aquino III insinuated Wednesday. Aquino made the statement after Pulse Asia released its latest survey results showing a further drop in Aquino’s ratings while Villar continues to inch closer to him despite the controversy hounding him in connection with the C5 road extension project.

I sure hope the good senator or any of his handlers would be mature enough to accept that perhaps the threat to the Aquino campaign is internal not external. And, if I may suggest, presenting a genuine platform might help Noynoy regain lost ground and destroy the perception that he doesn’t have a clue how he will lead this nation. I’m not counting on it though.

I hope I’m wrong but it seems Noynoy’s only interest is his “winnability.”

(quote lifted from gmanews.tv report) “What should not escape all of us is that I still lead the surveys—from the time I declared my candidacy to this day.

People are just fed up with the Aquinos. Kris Aquinos
going from one husband to another. While her mother, Cory
Aquino showed piety by praying in public. Cory Aquino
cannot even prevent her daughter from committing Adultery.
How can she convince me: She is a Saint. Noynoy Aquino lacking the CHARISMA and POLITICAL fight. They are trying to ressurect the SPIRIT of Cory Aquino and Ninoy Aquino.

They forgot that the EDSA revolution was already 30
years past. Some voters do not even know Ninoy Aquino.
Ninoy Aquino was the financier of the Arms Shipment of
MV Karagatan bound for the NPA. Ninoy Aquino let his
partymates be bombed at Plaza Miranda by the NPA. While
he watched TV at home. Ninoy Aquino rode on the NPA Tiger
until he ended up inside it. The U.S. State Department under Sec. George Schultz took advantage of the situation
to bring down Marcos. Then continue with the U.S. Bases
in the Philippines. Fidel Ramos was C.I.A. Agent. The
fellow is a West Point graduate. The C.I.A. usually recruits graduate from West Point as their agents.

Mikee Cojuangco Leads Black Propaganda Campaign for Cousin Noynoy

The buzz in the blogosphere is that Noynoy Aquino, through cousin Mikee Cojuangco, engaged a web development firm called Voncore to design and develop a black propaganda website to help take down Aquino’s chief rival Manny Villar in the May 2010 elections.

According to its company website, Voncore is owned by Rogelio Santos, Jr, a US-based entrepreneur who also happens to be a fan of Noynoy Aquino on Facebook.

The whistle-blower hinted that a briefing for the project was held at the residence of Mikee for the development team.

The plan was to copy the look and feel of Manny Villar’s website and use a close-sounding web address — reportedly mannyvillar.org — to draw voters to the site, and then bombard them with black propaganda content once there. This is a tactic known as “phishing”, and commonly used by Internet hackers to steal credit card numbers and other sensitive information from unsuspecting users.

let’s just wait for the website to go live to prove it.

Noynoy’s popularity is going down because it follows the law of gravity. What is up must come down. Seriously, the people are seeing the true Noynoy. He is not what heclaims to be. His mother St. Cory was not what she claims to be. This family has been receiving false and cute news from the Yellow Press and ABS-CBN for the past 25 to 30 years.
They are very fond of calling people names. They labeled people ‘cronies.’ But I think they were one of the first cronies. Pres. Ramon Magsaysay was the ninong of Ninoy and St. Cory at their wedding. This president was the one who facilitated the loan from an American bank with a guarantee by the government, for the Cojuangco family to buy Hacienda Luisita from Tabacalera. This was on the condition that the land would be distributed to the farmers after ten years. So many years passed and the land is still with the Cojuangcos. When St. Cory became president she instituted ‘genuine’ land reform. She distributed the lands of other hacienderos to the tenants, but when it came to Luisita she changed her mind. What a hypocrite!!!!
When the poor farmers protested and waged a strike they were massacred. Poor St. Cory claimed that the strikers were infiltrated by the NPA. Oh my God, they were still human beings, whether they are from the left or the right you have no right of killing them.
One year into her administration St. Cory also had that excuse when there were also protesting farmers who were killed at Mendiola. They were infiltrated by the left.
After the massacre at Hacienda Luisita, there were eight separate killings related to the protest. Three of the people killed was an Aglipayan priest, an Aglipayan bishop, and one of the witness of the massacre. You should remember that Noynoy was the VP for security of the Hacienda then.
Remember the Garchitorena Land scam? St. Cory claimed that she doesn’t know anything about it, but she was the president at that time. Millions of pesos were earned by Lina, Juico,Abad, and Kamaganak Inc.

we practically gave the presidency to cory in 1986 because we were so emotional and probably not thinking straight back then. We just wanted to kick Marcos out of malacanan. and we suffered the consequences of our naivete. Fast forward to 2010, are we to just give the presidency again to another aquino only because he’s cory’s son? how lucky can one get? hopefully we are no longer as emotional as we were in ‘86. hopefully we are thinking a lot straighter by now.

this coming presidential election is a very important one. our country is so graft-ridden (and known to the world as such!)that people have even become tolerant and accepting of these corrupt practices. there is so much distrust that even good intentions and good deeds become suspect. there is so much disinformation, that we can no longer distinguish the truth from the lies and half-truths. we are so ready to throw brickbats at each other, with no regard as to whether what we’re saying is true or not, as long as it achieves our agenda and ambitions.

thus, it is crucial that in this election, we exert all efforts to get to know the candidates. let us not rely on campaign plugs and hearsay. let us listen to them in the various fora. let us read everything we can get our hands on about them, especially those which are critical of the candidate we favor – this just might open our eyes! BUT, we should not just swallow all that we hear and read. we have to keep our minds open – we have to think, analyze, evaluate. and knowing what we know, let’s not disseminate information which we know is not true, thereby adding to the confusion

and finally, we should should choose someone we TRULY BELIEVE has the moral ascendancy to lead. one who can take away the distrust. one who can convince us to have a personal investment in this country. one who can make us proud to be filipinos in front of anyone and anywhere in the world!
