Dear Senator Noynoy Aquino,
We hope you’ve realized by now that not too many people believed that psychiatric report. Being an obvious fake, that report couldn’t have possibly convinced anyone that you’re suffering from some mental illness.
Now, we’re just wondering why you and your supporters continue to talk about the issue. You probably haven’t been informed that, despite your claims, no one really believes the psych report came from the camps of any of the other presidential candidates. On the contrary, many people actually think it came from your own camp. We’re not pinning it on you though as we’re pretty sure you were not involved at all. We think this clumsily executed plot was the sole handiwork of your “brilliant” propaganda people.
This assessment shouldn’t surprise you. After all everyone knows that drama has been the trademark of your campaign since day one. Painting a picture of you as a mentally unstable person does make for good drama material, doesn’t it?
Also, everyone knows it would be such a waste of time and effort for anyone to use a document that can be easily debunked. It might work if the content of the fake document wasn’t exaggerated so much.
In this regard, may we then ask you to take the lead in burying this stupid issue? Stop talking about it. More importantly stop pinning it on any of the other candidates. Such claims wouldn’t be believable anyway when it’s pretty obvious that the only person that would gain anything from this issue is you.
Sincerely,
Thinking Voters of the Philippines
P.S.
Your propagandists are not as good as they think they are.

I don’t think this is Noynoy’s tactics. This was done by his opponents and I think you’re one of them. Noynoy is leading and he’ll gonna win. So pathethic loser like you!

But these “brilliant propagandists” come from Noynoy’s camp. So… if you put two and two together… you’re indirectly saying that it’s Noynoy’s tactic. The word “Noynoy”, being, a description of the candidate’s campaign group.

goop,
no, i’m not saying anything indirectly. my thinking is that someone from his camp may have done this without noynoy’s knowledge. in any cae, noynoy and the liberal party should just stop milking the issue. otherwise, my speculation that this emanated from them will just seem more real.

it is a tactic to gain sympathy for LP camp and pinning the blame on Villar’s camp. ABS CBN is a propaganda machinery of the Aquino clan. Utang ng loob and gratitude for Aquino what makes them a staunch supporter. ABS CBN should be temporarily banned from operating and resume programming after May 10.

I think that the issue was floated merely to give Noynoy more face time on television.
The rule is, as I was told, is that interviews with a candidate without an obvious issue is counted against their alloted AIR TIME.
Remember a couple of weeks or days ago, there was news that NOYNOY and VILLAR had already exceeded their AIRTIME ALLOCATIONS. (120 minutes per TV station)
By coming up with AN OBVIOUSLY FALSE ISSUE, Noynoy was able to skirt the provision against excessive face time on television and even win sympathy for his candidacy.
Brilliant!
Let’s see WHAT OTHER LAWS HE CAN CIRCUMVENT.

Paul,
that’s an interesting theory.

Honestly, even at first glance, I already knew that the psychiatric report was fake. I don’t believe that it came from the camp of the garbage swimmer, sobrang usual suspects na sila eh.
If, in case, this came from Noynoy’s own camp, then let it boomerang to them come election day. It would be like a repeat of Defensor-Santiago’s case when she ran for the presidency in 1992.
[Reply]
So now it’s clear that the report was really from NP, a direct offshoot of their “Topak” angle launched a week ago. Fake as it is, it opens a new target for NP, especially since we are in the homestretch where things tend to go no-holds-barred. Villar and Legarda are already pouncing on it hard.
I don’t think the issue was made up by LP to circumvent ad restrictions, as the LP has more than 100 minutes of TV minutes left to spend for Noynoy. The law says that a candidate can buy 120 ad minutes, and his party can buy 120 ad minutes, enabling him to legally use 240 ad minutes for himself. The figure cited by the Pera at Politika expose combined the personal and LP minutes of Aquino ads, making it it appear that Aquino already exceeded the statutory limitation.
Frankly, when Villar said two weeks ago that they were readying a new tact to stop his slide in the ratings, I was expecting something as dirty as this from his camp. I just didn’t think it would be this stupid and blatantly fake.

reader,
just because abs-cbn said it was from np doesn’t make it necessarily so. we all know abs-cbn is biased for noynoy. their inputs on this issue are suspect.
in any case, regardless of where that report originated from it still doesn’t make it right that noynoy and lp would use it to attract sympathy.

Are they pandering sympathy? If anything, the LP and Noynoy have largely ignored the issue. A quick look at the major news websites confirms this, and shows that the reason why this issue continues to exist is because of the NP’s constant insinuation towards the discredited document’s content.
The conclusion that the NP released this document was reached not just because ABS-CBN says it to be so, but also because of how the NP has reacted to the issue.

who says so? who made the conclusion? anyway, at this point in time, it doesn’t really matter.
what’s important is for the lp camp not to use it in any way if it wants to prove itself to be the better entity. i seriously doubt though if the lp can resist the temptation.

At risk of sounding like an LP apologist, I must say that the comments of the Liberal Party towards the issue has always been in reaction to NP’s insinuations. There has been no LP or Noynoy statement regarding the issue that was not in reaction to an NP comment after the issue of the fake document broke out.

watari,
please take note of this:
Often quoted as, Vox populi, vox dei (/ˈvɒks ˈpɒpjəlaɪ ˈvɒks ˈdiː.aɪ/), “The voice of the people [is] the voice of God”, is an old proverb often erroneously attributed to William of Malmesbury in the twelfth century.[2]
Another early reference to the expression is in a letter from Alcuin to Charlemagne in 798, although it is believed to have been in earlier use.[3] The full quotation from Alcuin reads:
Nec audiendi qui solent dicere, Vox populi, vox Dei, quum tumultuositas vulgi semper insaniae proxima sit.[4]
English translation:
And those people should not be listened to who keep saying the voice of the people is the voice of God, since the riotousness of the crowd is always very close to madness.[5]

FYI, you only say “black propaganda” if there’s no TRUTH to it. If I were you, I would think first before shooting my mouth off. Just because Noynoy is an Aquino, he is already licensed to commit mistakes and just get away with them. Don’t tell me you’re not aware of his blunders after all this time? If really not, then you’re a perfect example of Freddie Aguilar’s song “Bulag, Pipi at Bingi”.

jansen,
hintayin na lang natin ang resulta. if noynoy wins then so be it. if not huwag naman sana maginarte ang kampo niyo na kesyo dinaya. masyado namang presumptuous to say na “hindi na mapipigilan ang inyong tagumpay.” in the first place, that presumption is just based on these paid surveys and noise, which your camp is very much capable of creating considering your connections with media’s elite. don’t you think it’s quite telling that in surveys conducted in schools etc mas madalas ibang kandidato ang lumalabas na leading. i’d trust those surveys more not because noynoy lost there but because mas transparent sila.
noynoy isn’t leading. his camp is just creating that illusion.
we shouldn’t vote based on popularity and definitely not on imagined or fabricated “honesty” crap. ganoon lang un kasimple.
tingnan niyo kung sino mga nasa paligid ni noynoy and you can be sure if he wins corruption which he claims he will solve will remain possibly even worsen. being “showbiz honest” is not the solution. a person with real abilities, vision and plans is what this country needs not some schmuck whose head is in the clouds because he was made to believe he is the anointed one.
