Too much rain fall creates floods which gives hardships to those who are affected. Collecting rainwater from the roof is another way of minimizing the effect of floods. In many countries, Collecting rainwater is widely used. In Australia, Rainwater is collected due to shortage in water. In New Zealand, it is use to conserve water and flood prevention too. We have a 5000 litter tank for collecting water; we use this to flush our toilets. Not only do we help in preventing floods in winter where it rains regularly, but we also help by using it in summer time where rain is short. It also gives us a reasonable cut on our water bills:) The more people collecting rainwater, the less is the effect of floods. It will also save you money. From negative to positive! people might pray for more rain when they have their own water tanks!

Global Warming and Climate Change is the biggest environmental issue that we face these days. the long term effects of these environmental changes to a nations economy is quite damaging. there would be a shortage in food supply as well as on water supply too ....
